“MINE EYES DAZZLE”

Auditions for The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection (AFTEC)’s Youth Theatre in English Production of John Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi continue for a couple of male roles.

John Webster’s dark tragedy, first performed around 1614, tells the tale of a young noblewoman who defies the social hierarchy and marries a commoner out of love. She suffers grim fate at the hands of her fiendish brothers, who scheme to acquire her title and money in the name of punishing her for her transgression. In the face of calamity, the Duchess remains true to her values, showing the world what it means to be noble.
