Plays for Young People

Plays for Young People aims at nurturing local translators and creating quality translated plays in Chinese for young people. This year, AFTEC selected 13 emerging translators to explore aspects in theatre translation with four foreign playwrights and two dramaturgs in March. Currently, they are translating four select overseas plays for young people into Chinese under the mentorship of veteran translators.


In the Reader’s Theatre on 22 and 23 October 2016, we will be presenting selected excerpts from their work:
