Bravo! Hong Kong
Youth Theatre Awards

Positive values through performance

Bravo! was AFTEC’s flagship youth theatre and life-skills programme, designed to empower students aged 13 – 19 to grow as performers, thinkers, and individuals. Launched in 2013, this 1.5-year journey combined theatre training, workshops, productions, and community outreach to foster both creative expression and personal growth.

The journey began with Bravo! Hong Kong, where students participated in local workshops and performances. After a year, a select group progressed to the international stages of Bravo! Asia and Bravo! International. These segments included partnerships with Cloudgate Dance School in Taipei and the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

The first-ever social impact study was undertaken for Bravo! in 2017 – 2018. Read about the results in our book Evolving Creative Mindsets: Learning through the Arts to be published this year.

This bilingual programme prioritised opportunities for underprivileged youth, ensuring access to high-quality theatre education regardless of background.
