Jockey Club “Arts & Actions” Project – The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection “Arts for Empowerment’’

Laying creative foundations

Running from 2019 – 2022, the programme saw the team develop an arts-based curriculum in collaboration with teachers, social workers, and students from schools for social development. By partnering with Tung Wan Mok Law Shui Wah School and Caritas Mother Teresa School, AFTEC fostered a safe, creative space for self-expression and growth—while also supporting the development of the Jockey Club Black Box Theatre.

Through Cultural Days, professional development workshops, and the AFTEC Lab, the programme expanded artistic horizons and used the arts to nurture emotional depth, self-understanding, and student potential. The final showcase celebrated a three-year journey of transformation, reminding us that every ending can also be a new beginning.

We’d love to tell you more.
