Autumn Fiesta at Pak Sha Road and 4th Floor Podium of Hysan Place

The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection (AFTEC)  is dedicated to motivating and inspiring youth by using theatre as a platform for creative learning and participation .

For the first time, AFTEC will organize a fun fair linking Nature & Nurture to engage families with children from 4-12 to experience the fun and meaning of theatre through different activities, games and workshops.

The general public can get a taste of what theatre is all about on

Oct 28, 29 (Saturday and Sunday) from 2:30-5:30 at Pak Sha Road and on  the 4th floor podium of Hysan Place.

In encouraging children aged 6 and over to develop an interest and benefit from theatre performance, the “Interactive theatre games” let parents and their children engage in fun games to learn basic theatre skills, mental focus, teamwork and creative use of space.

Theatre is a place where actors interact to tell stories.  Children aged 4-10 can join the “Story Telling ” corner at Pak Sha oad. Timeless classics and exciting tales will be told by  young  actors who have received professional theatre training from international artist educators. Let your children’s imagination go wild .

Facial expression is a critical element in theatre. Pick up your paintbrush and learn to do face painting at the “Theatrical face Painting” table at Pak Sha RoadProfessional make-up artists will give participants aged under 12  a taste of the magic of stage make-up! The sessions will focus on creating looks that are inspired by nature and animals, like those that might be found in Classic stories.

Last but not least,  the Food themed arts and crafts workshop will ignite the creative imaginations of kids aged 6 and above by asking them to use assorted materials to make their own innovative ‘dishes’ with reference to a restaurant’s menu.

At the Theatre workshop at Hysan Place 4/F on Oct 28 ,  AFTEC’s learning and participation manager, Ms Naomi Lawrence  will teach  anyone aged 8 and above the craft of acting using body language, voice projection and group interaction. Naomi is an actress, writer and director from the UK. She has a range of experience in theatre, cabaret and comedy. This workshop will use unique approaches to allow everyone to enjoy a rewarding and fun theatre experience!

Don’t miss this inspiring and entertaining weekend and come to join the free fun fair at Pak Sha Road Causeway Bay and 4/F of Hysan Place.
