(1) Stage Management & Sound Design

The stage management team are a brainy team, great problem solvers, who ensure that every component of a production work seamlessly together. You may see some of them in black during scene changes but the scope of their work is a lot more than that. Find out all about stage management in this session, as well as the work of a sound designer, the audio system, and how music and sound effects add an essential dimension to a play.

Oscar Fung

(2) Lighting Design
Find out how theatre lighting gives life to a play and what lighting designers do from pre-production to production period. We will also look at the application of different types of lighting instruments and lighting effects including angles, colours and shapes.

Carmen Lee

(3) Set & Props Design

Find out how a stage designer transforms an empty stage into the world of a play. We will learn from different examples and work with our hands to lay out the set and props to create different scenes on stage with the help of scale models and basic 3D drawing.
