Fun Arts Learning Workshop for the Family

I. World, War, Watches, What for? A talk on watchmaking and WWI by Mr Alan Lau (劉玉麟), managing director of Libertas Ltd. For aged 12+. In Cantonese supplemented with English. $150. Sept 26, 7:30-9:30pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre CA Hall.  No watch knowledge necessary.

II. Battle of the Instruments & Theatre.  A workshop facilitated by concert pianist and arts educator Miss Nancy Loo (羅乃新) to re-discover the joy and excitement of learning a music instrument. For aged 4+. In Cantonese supplemented with English. $150. Oct 25, 2-4pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre CA Hall. Participants may bring their own instruments.

III. The Colours of Paul Klee & Theatre. Participants will go through a journey of Paul Klee’s life and works with local visual artist and educator Miss Gukzik Lau (劉掬色). For aged 6+. In Cantonese supplemented with English. $150. Oct 25, 4:30-6:30pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre CA Hall. Bring along your own colour pencils or crayons.

IV. Family Portraits, Photography & Theatre. An interactive photography workshop for families facilitated by local arts photographer Mr Cheung Chi Wai (張志偉). For aged 1+ and families. In Cantonese. $150. Oct 26, 2:30-4:30pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre CA Hall. Participants to bring their own cameras.

V. Pirates at Play Workshop: Create Your Own New World.  A pirate–themed theatre workshop facilitated by native-speaking professional actors. For aged 6+ and families. In English. $150. Nov 15, 4:30-6pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre CA Hall. (Related drama production: Treasure Island, Nov 15-16, 2:30pm, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Theatre. In English with bilingual surtitles. Separate ticket required.)

VI. Jason and the Argonauts: Young People’s Physical Theatre Workshop. An exciting Physical Theatre workshop taught by London LAMDA/West End movement artist Mr Michael Brown. For aged 16+ with 1 year’s theatre experience. In English. $350. Dec 6, 10am-1pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre CA Hall. (Related drama production: Jason and the Argonauts, Dec 5, 8pm; Dec 6-7, 3:30pm. Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Theatre. In Cantonese with some English,  bilingual surtitles. Separate ticket required.)
